PRIVACY & DATA SECURITY ~ LAST UPDATED AUGUST 2026
I understand how important your privacy and the safe handling of your data are to you, if for no other reason than that I too am obsessive when it comes to my privacy and the handling of my data. Any personal information that comes my way in connection to your use of this website is managed by me, Joe Tibbetts, joetibbetts.uk@gmail.com I am not only the data controller but also the data handler and no one else has access to the data that I manage.
I will not share in any way shape or form for any purposes whatsoever any information that you provide.
I use physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage, and usage of site users information and data. I try, for example, to protect the security of your information by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you enter.
I do my best to ensure that no other person, organisation or digital entity can get access to any of your data held by me.
I store your data on a CRM platform which only recognises me and the one device that I use solely for data management purposes. The platform recognises the device and demands three stage authentication each and every time I log on.
I hold contact details such as names, email addresses and postal addresses for those who have provided such data in order that I can send email updates/newsletters and/or fulfil orders for services or products. I also keep a record of the relationship between you and my site (when you first subscribed to the newsletter for example) and a record of any purchases you may have made of services or products supplied through the site.
I do not automatically or otherwise collect information about your activities in the website when you are visiting the site nor do I use cookies and other unique identifiers to, for example, collect information about your web-browser activity or any of that below-the- horizon stuff that everyone today seems to think is theirs to collect by right and the Office of the Information Commissioner seems powerless to prevent.
If you purchase the Gnomic Postcards we get your order, send your postcards by post with an invoice requesting you to pay, you instruct your bank to pay our bank and when we see the payment we send £5.00 to the Save The Children Fund. We do not get, handle or store your banking data and neither we nor any aspiring bad actor can connect you name and address with your banking details. We will hold your name and delivery address until you instruct us to remove it.
I hope all this is clear and helpful. If you find any errors or omissions please email me Joe Tibbetts, Data Controller, joetibbetts.uk@gmail.com If you want to see the data we hold about you or have your record expunged you can use the same email address.
